Tom began the interview by stating that he is not an individual that flatters people unless they deserve it. 

Tom and his wife live in the Simpson house, constructed along the banks of the Hillsborough River in Temple Terrace. They have three grown sons, two living in Tampa and one living in Tennessee. 

Regarding working with Chuck Fowke, he was a pleasure to work with as the "front man." 

Concerning the level of detail and quality expected by Chuck and David Fowke, Tom relived this story:

With Custom Homes, sometimes what was on paper isn’t possible to build. When things came up, such as repositioning air condition ducts, they figured out how to do it in a structurally sound and well-designed way. They took all sorts of our ideas and found ways to make that happen.

Great service continued after the house was built. The warranty service was tremendous.

“During our walk-through, we didn’t find anything. They pointed out little things that needed to be taken care of that we didn’t even see.”

Even on minor issues that went past the warranty (all have been minor), they’ve been nothing but helpful.

“We like them so much, we let them use our house as a Showcase Home.”
